Digital learning for public schools
STUDENTS of 60 public schools all over the Philippines will be getting access to digital learning, as the Department of Education and Smart Communications recently signed a memorandum of agreement for the deployment of 40 TechnoCart and 20 School-in-Bag units over the next two years.
Created by Smart, these educational bundles – which include a laptop, tablets with educational apps, LED TV, a pocket WiFi with starter load, a solar panel for schools without electricity, and teacher training – will be turned over to the school-beneficiaries under DepEd’s “Adopt-a-School”.
Smart is donating several units and is encouraging organizations and individuals to sponsor more TechnoCarts and School-in-a-Bag units, as these improve the academic performance of public school students. Those interested to donate may email TechnoCart@ smart.com.ph
