Anti-fencing law violator charged
AN entrepreneur is facing charges before the court after a stolen Pol Tank was found outside his house at Don Lorenzo Subdivision in Sasa, Davao City on November 28, Tuesday.
Charged with violation of the Presidential Decree 1612, or The Anti-Fencing Law, is Em- manuel Dacuycuy, owner of a mini-car shop at Don Lorenzo Subdivision.
Prosecutor Yehlen Sanchez found probable cause to charge the accused based on the complaint filed by Rizaldo Manulat, a representative of the D'Unibuenas Corporation.
In a resolution dated December 6, Manulat attested that the company learned that its Solane 50 kilogram Pol Tank with serial no. 17-F-01269 was sold to the accused, prompting the police to proceed to the area.
Manulat reported that the suspects identified as Felix Ybañez, Reynaldo Buscagan, and Arnel Baybayan, who took the Pol Tank, were former employees of the corporation.
The accused was arrested after the complainant and the police found the Pol Tank outside his house. Dacuycuy is currently detained at the Buhangin Police Station.
Police are already looking into the whereabouts of the three suspects.
