Body wrapped found

CEBU - A man be­lieved to be in his thir­ties was found wrapped in a plas­tic bag near a river in Barangay Mainit, City of Naga on Wed­nes­day.

In a police re­port, a res­i­dent was fetch­ing wa­ter by the river when he found the man wrapped in a black plas­tic bag at 5 p.m. Wed­nes­day, De­cem­ber 6. Ini­tially cu­ri­ous of the con­tents of the black bag, the res­i­dent de­cided to check it when he saw what looks like a per­son's shoul­der.

The res­i­dent im­me­di­ately called the police and re­port what he found. When in­ves­ti­ga­tors led by Police Of­fi­cer 3 Rolly Ge­tubig opened the bag, they found the man, wear­ing maong shorts and a sleeve­less shirt.

Stab wounds were found in dif­fer­ent parts of the man's body.

Se­nior Insp. Leo Logroño, act­ing City of Naga police chief, said un­til now, they are still try­ing to find out who the man is.

Logroño said the man had no IDs or any doc­u­ment on him that could iden­tify him. They also be­lieved that the per­son is not from the City of Naga as they have not re­ceived re­ports of any miss­ing per­son re­cently.

The man's body is cur­rently be­ing kept at the St. Fran­cis Funeral Homes in Cebu City. SS-Cebu
