China gives P5-M aid to NCCC firE vIC­tIms

THE Peo­ple's Repub­lic of China gave P5 mil­lion to the fam­i­lies of 38 vic­tims of NCCC Mall Davao fire.

In a state­ment re­leased by the Davao City In­for­ma­tion Of­fice yes­ter­day, Chi­nese Am­bas­sador to the Philip­pines Zhao Jian­hua per­son­ally turned over the as­sis­tance to the fam­i­lies of the de­ceased on Fri­day in a ho­tel in Davao City.

The distri­bu­tion of the fi­nan­cial as­sis­tance was as­sisted by Davao City Mayor Sara Z. DuterteCar­pio.

The re­port read that Duterte-Car­pio thanked the Chi­nese gov­ern­ment for the do­na­tion to the fam­i­lies.

“We highly ap­pre­ci­ate how you took the time and ef­fort to per­son­ally come here to our city to ex­tend your con­do­lences and gen­eros­ity,” the mayor said.

On Wed­nes­day, of­fi­cials from the Com­mu­nist Party of China also met with Duterte-Car­pio at the City Hall.

The visit high­lights the strong re­la­tion­ship be­tween the city and Bei­jing.
