Alorica wins debut game
ALORICA, with Kevin John Quijote at the helm, opened its campaign on a high note after a stunning 54-38 win over defending champion Teleperformance (TP) in Sunday's opener of the Davao Inter-BPO League (DIBL) held at the Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) Gym.
Quijote drilled in 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
TP tried to catch up in the first half but the Jess Evangelio-coached Alorica did not look back to secure the win.
Last season's first runner-up VXI demolished Iqor, 63-31, behind the heroics of Raphael Romeo Nayve who finished with 15 points.
Flatworld Solutions beat fellow newbie Proelink Business Solutions, 65-50.
John Michael Mier dropped a devastating 26 points on top of four rebounds and two assists.
Convergys, for its part, subdued Focusinc, 52-36, as Kin Nan Zerrudo sank 10.
Conectys, meanwhile, scored a 58-46 victory over NorthEast Solutions, Inc. Nash Ignacio swished made 15.
The Awesome OS, however, demolished KKC Outstanding Corp, 49-17, in the cagefest for Business Process Outsourcing community that is supported by Borromeo Insurance Agency, Pru Life UK, Ramenikko Ramen Hause and Phenom Lifestyle Fitness Gym.
Erica Nicole Engracia of Alorica was hailed the miss DIBL Basketball 2018.
Special awards were also given to Ronalyn Mae Aguilar of Convergys (most Facebook shares) and Doreen Joy Mercado of Conectys (most Facebook likes). ABM
