ALOR­ICA, with Kevin John Qui­jote at the helm, opened its cam­paign on a high note af­ter a stun­ning 54-38 win over de­fend­ing cham­pion Teleper­for­mance (TP) in Sun­day's opener of the Davao In­ter-BPO League (DIBL) held at the Rizal Memo­rial Col­leges (RMC) Gym.

Qui­jote drilled in 19 points and grabbed seven re­bounds.

TP tried to catch up in the first half but the Jess Evan­ge­lio-coached Alor­ica did not look back to se­cure the win.

Last sea­son's first run­ner-up VXI de­mol­ished Iqor, 63-31, be­hind the hero­ics of Raphael Romeo Nayve who fin­ished with 15 points.

Flat­world So­lu­tions beat fel­low new­bie Proelink Busi­ness So­lu­tions, 65-50.

John Michael Mier dropped a dev­as­tat­ing 26 points on top of four re­bounds and two as­sists.

Con­ver­gys, for its part, sub­dued Fo­cus­inc, 52-36, as Kin Nan Zer­rudo sank 10.

Conec­tys, mean­while, scored a 58-46 vic­tory over North­East So­lu­tions, Inc. Nash Ig­na­cio swished made 15.

The Awe­some OS, how­ever, de­mol­ished KKC Out­stand­ing Corp, 49-17, in the cage­fest for Busi­ness Process Out­sourc­ing com­mu­nity that is sup­ported by Bor­romeo In­sur­ance Agency, Pru Life UK, Ra­menikko Ra­men Hause and Phe­nom Life­style Fit­ness Gym.

Erica Ni­cole En­gra­cia of Alor­ica was hailed the miss DIBL Bas­ket­ball 2018.
