Bernardo, Laña top bowlfest
MARIO Bernardo and Mary Anne Laña shared top honors in the ABCD monthly bowling tournament held recently at the Dover Mega Lanes in Davao City.
Bernardo, 59, an employee of the Davao City Treasurer’s Office hit a total of 212 pinfalls, beating Yves Prisco Arma, 26, a medical technologist who works at Mindanao Medical Foundation College (MMFC) and Ronnie Costan, 47, a family driver who placed second and third, respectively, in the men's division.
Arma rolled 196 pins while Costan amassed 192.
Meanwhile, Laña, 41, an employee of Sta. Ana Multi-purpose Cooperative (Samulco), sizzled with 225 pinfalls to rule the distaff side.
Insurance agent Bebelyn Jagna, 43, toppled 204 pins while Samulco employee Roselle Calibo, 41, made 99 pinfalls.
The tournament, organized by the Amateur Bowlers of the Community of Davao (ABCD), is sponsored by Mary Kay Philippines.
Winners receied cash prizes, medals and certificates.
