Bernardo, Laña top bowlfest

MARIO Bernardo and Mary Anne Laña shared top hon­ors in the ABCD monthly bowl­ing tour­na­ment held re­cently at the Dover Mega Lanes in Davao City.

Bernardo, 59, an em­ployee of the Davao City Trea­surer’s Of­fice hit a to­tal of 212 pin­falls, beat­ing Yves Prisco Arma, 26, a med­i­cal tech­nol­o­gist who works at Min­danao Med­i­cal Foun­da­tion Col­lege (MMFC) and Ron­nie Costan, 47, a fam­ily driver who placed sec­ond and third, re­spec­tively, in the men's di­vi­sion.

Arma rolled 196 pins while Costan amassed 192.

Mean­while, Laña, 41, an em­ployee of Sta. Ana Multi-pur­pose Co­op­er­a­tive (Sa­mulco), siz­zled with 225 pin­falls to rule the distaff side.

In­sur­ance agent Be­be­lyn Jagna, 43, top­pled 204 pins while Sa­mulco em­ployee Roselle Cal­ibo, 41, made 99 pin­falls.

The tour­na­ment, or­ga­nized by the Am­a­teur Bowlers of the Com­mu­nity of Davao (ABCD), is spon­sored by Mary Kay Philip­pines.

Win­ners re­ceied cash prizes, medals and cer­tifi­cates.
