MYRNA L. MANALANG The Depart­ment of Ed­u­ca­tion strength­ens the im­ple­men­ta­tion of Gu­layon­saPaar­alan Pro­gram (GPP) in pub­lic ele­men­tary and sec­ondary schools na­tion­wide as stated in DepEd Me­moran­dum No. 223, S. 2016 dated Dec. 14, 2016

GPP pro­motes veg­etable pro­duc­tion and con­sump­tion among school chil­dren. Its gen­eral ob­jec­tive is to pro­mote food se­cu­rity in schools and com­mu­ni­ties through the self-help food pro­duc­tion ac­tiv­i­ties; val­ues among learn­ers and ap­pre­ci­a­tion of Agri­cul­ture as a life sup­port sys­tem.

In our school, our veg­etable har­vest all through­out the school year aug­ments our bud­get for our School-Based Feed­ing Pro­gram (SBFP) for this school year wherein we have 72 iden­ti­fied pupil ben­e­fi­cia­ries.
