CSF set­straf­fic route, al­ter­nate roads

CITY OF SAN FER­NANDO— The City Gov­ern­ment of San Fer­nando has set al­ter­na­tive routes for the clo­sure of the Lazatin Fly­over along west Jose Abad San­tos Av­enue start­ing Fe­bru­ary 19, Sun­day.

The De­part­ment of Public Works and High­ways will do much needed re­pairs on the two-lane fly­over for about a week and the city’s Traf­fic Man­age­ment Di­vi­sion has ad­vised of heavy traf­fic.

City Ad­min­is­tra­tor Engr. Fer­nando Lim­bitco how­ever, told Sun.Star Pam­panga that has laid down plans for that.

“We al­ready have con­tin­gen­cies on that. Of course, west Jose Abad San­tos Av­enue will not be en­tirely closed and the east and west sides of the road will still be open. But there will be a need for rerout­ing or al­ter­nate roads,” he aid.

“We will have side streets and roads like those at San Fer­nando Sub­di­vi­sion, St. An­thony Vil­lage and Morn­ing Sun Sub­di­vi­sion opened as well as those in Barangay San Juan opened for mo­torists to avoid con­ges­tion and in­con­ve­nience to mo­torists and com­muters,” added Lim­bitco.

Proper di­rec­tional signs are now be­ing in­stalled, he said.

“We will also be di­rect­ing mo­torists to these al­ter­nate roads so the area will not be un­duly con­gested. Ply­ing the routes to the west to­wards Guagua and Su­bic and to the east to­wards NLEx (North Lu­zon Ex­press­way) will be as usual but traf­fic will be man­aged by ad­di­tional traf­fic aides to avoid grid­locks,” Lim­bitco said.
