RELATIONAL COMPETENCE, SUSTAINING THE LIFE OF THE ORGANIZATION

The old and passé highly autocratic management of people is not anymore attuned to day. The integration of Emotional Quotient (EQ) and the Multiple Intelligences of Howard Gardner redirected the behaviour of school highly stringent and purely task-oriented behaviour to people –oriented behaviour.
Relational competence is the correct labelling. Great attention needs to be accorded to people in the organization which will build the connection between and among the organic members of the organization. The organization has to be kept living not by fear and intimidation but by quality of professional and even personal relationship.
The school head is consistently challenged to nurture the desired relationship within and outside the school. No singular behaviour which will distort the organizational relationship must be coming from the school head. The aim of the school head is to ensure the sustainance of the meaningful, satisfying and happy engagement of people in the organization. This will not only lead to the greater performance of the school but even to the greater productivity of people in the organization.
