CELEBRITY RACERS Jericho Rosales, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Troy Montero, and Fabio Ide on weekend stepped on the pedal with newbies Aubrey Miles, Gretchen Ho, Ella Cruz, Dominic Roque, and Jake Cuenca for the third leg of the Vios Cup at the Clark International Speedway in Clark Fr eepor t .

The popular onemake race which gathers over 8,000 attendees per race weekend, is anchored on the concept “fun in driving, more than the exciting world of motorsports.”

Series Director JP Tuason of Tuason Racing School noted that for this year, the cup is comprised of three driver classes, where the celebrity racers will burn rubber on the famed Clark speedway: the Rota Promotional Cl ass, Bridgestone Sporting Class, and the Super Sporting Class which is now called the Total Excellium Sporting Cl ass.

He emphasized that the Rota Promotional Class is where new drivers, rookie racers, and celebrity participants will battle it out for championship points.

The Bridgestone Sporting Class, on the other hand, is where the remaining drivers from last season’s Sporting Class will compete, he added.

It will also be the playing field for the top five finishers from the Rota Promotional Class, as well as the sponsored drivers.

The celebrity racers as well as the other participants will all be driving an equally-prepared vehicle equipped with original racing kits and gears.

Prizes for the top finishers this season include trophies for the first, second, and third placer for the Promotional Class; P150,000, P100,000, and P50,000 for the first, second and third placer, respectively, in the Sporting Class; P200,000, P100,000 and P50,000 for the first, second and third place in the Super Sporting Class.

Tuason disclosed that the next round is set on November 24 to 25 at the Clark International Speedway.

Aside from the race proper, other side activities include various activities like drift exhibition, concert, trade booths, and meet and greet with the celebrity racers.
