PRO3 conducts contingency planning meeting for Asean
OLIVAS, Pampanga - The Police Regional Office III (PRO-3) Task Group “Clark” conducted a two-day contingency planning at the Air Force Officer’s Club in Clark, Pampanga in order to test the security preparations, operational readiness and adequacy of resources for the scheduled 11th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Defense Ministers Meeting.
Chief Superintendent Amador Corpus, PRO-3 director, said that “contingency planning is very important and is being done specifically for major events because failing to plan means planning to fail. Through this contingency planning, the availability of financial, human and material resources is ensured.”
Corpus said practical exercises were done by members of the TG “Clark” in order for them to be ready for unexpected events.
Prior to this, two consecutive convoy travel dry runs were already conducted by Philippine National Police (PNP) PRO-3 along Clark, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway and North Luzon Expressway as part of the tight security preparations being undertaken.
Meanwhile, as early as October 20, 2017, PNP personnel will already be deployed within the summit venues and areas where the delegates will be billeted to ensure their safety and security. -
