CSF recognizes eco-friendly schools and environmental establishments
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — In line with the celebration of National Environmental Awareness and Clean Air Month, the City Government of San Fernando through its City Environment and Natural Resources Office conducted a Search for Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Schools and EnvironmentFriendly Establishments on November 24 at the Heroes Hall.
Dubbed “Pagkalinga sa Kalikasan at Kapaligiran, Kaligtasan ng Buhay ay Makakamtan,” the said contest aims to recognize schools and establishments who has best practices in various environmental programs.
CENR Officer Engr. Anele David said the activity also seeks to encourage all academic institutions and establishments to actively participate on environmental issues and campaigns of the city.
“Kahit sa ganitong pamamaraan man lang ay mahikayat natin ang mga Fernandinos na makiisa at makialam patungkol sa kalikasan ng sa ganoon ay makapagbigay din sila ng kontribusyon upang mapanatiling maayos at masigla ang ating kapaligiran,”David said.
In an interview, Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago stressed the importance of environmental awareness. He believes that even in our own simple ways, we can show love and care on our nature to achieve a healthy environment.
