Press corps con­ducts jour­nal­ism sem­i­nar

CLARK FREEPORT — The Pam­panga-Tar­lac En­ergy Press Corps has or­ga­nized a jour­nal­ism sem­i­nar at Park Inn by Radis­son Clark ho­tel here to­day.

Jay Pe­layo, pres­i­dent of the press corps, said they spon­sored the event in recog­ni­tion of the group’s so­cial re­spon­si­bil­ity.

“We at the Pam­panga-Tar­lac En­ergy Press Corps, com­posed of vol­un­teer me­dia prac­ti­tion­ers ded­i­cated to im­par­tial and ac­cu­rate re­port­ing of the en­ergy in­dus­try, aimed to sup­port our col­leagues,” Pe­layo said.

The sem­i­nar, which will cover Ba­sic Jour­nal­ism, Digital Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, and Com­mu­nity Re­la­tions, is set at 8:30 am to 2 pm to­day at the Park Inn by Radis­son Clark.

“This free sem­i­nar in­tends to pro­vide par­tic­i­pants with a re­fresher course on jour­nal­ism for a clear and con­cise com­mu­ni­ca­tion of in­for­ma­tion,” Pe­layo said.

The par­tic­i­pants will also be in­formed of the trends and the­o­ries on digital com­mu­ni­ca­tions and com­mu­nity re­la­tions as im­por­tant ar­eas of pub­lic re­la­tions, he added.
