Man selling fake hot air balloon fiesta arrested

CAMP OLIVAS - Police have arrested a man allegedly selling fake entrance tickets for the 22 Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta (PIHABF) in Clark Freeport.

The Mabalacat City police identified the suspects as Samy Castro, 31, of Barangay Pulung Maragul, Angeles City.

Jan Michael Manalo, PIHABF ground staff, reported to the city police after he received two fake tickets from two guests at the PIHABF entrance gat e.

When Manalo confronted the two guests, they revealed that Castro sold the said tickets to them.

Police confiscated from Castro 92 pieces unsold fake tickets, seven pieces of sold fake tickets and cash amounting to P5,400.

Police filed an Estafa case against Castro before the Office of the Assistant City Prosecutor Leonardo Santos in Mabalacat City. (Ric Sapnu)
