-

The pandemic/ Covid 19 caused significant widespread increase of mortality in the world, it even cause damage on our economy that leads to the different reactions of the people and I personally experience it thinking of somewhat negative things that create stress and tension. Maybe such behavior is nothing but normal but not to a leader like me as a school head wherein having position should portray being flexible, able to cope inevitable changes and resilient at all times especially during the time of crisis.

As expected school leader must be and act as an influential leader. One much influences the family, the people in his workplace and community to face the challenge pandemic crises with full hope, faith and induce positivity that we can overcome the crisis.

Having such influential position, the school head can be a vessel in educating people to become active and be participative in the implementation of the ordinances issued by the government for the best welfare of the society. How? School leader should ensure the safety and well- being of the students, teachers and the non- teaching personnel. This can also be extended to the community thru the collaboration and coordination to the parents and stakeholders.

One small step of being influential leader to fight the COVID 19 can be impacted the life of many. To step in faith, support the government and the DepEd advocacy can be a great contribution in resolving the global crisis- COVID 19.

As an influential leader, we serves as “salt and light” of the earth as written in Matthew 5:13-16.
