Ac­tors Guild to hold med­i­cal mis­sion

THE Ac­tors Guild of the Philip­pines, led by its pres­i­dent Imelda Papin, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the So­cial Se­cu­rity Sys­tem, will hold a med­i­cal mis­sion to­day, at the 2nd Flr. Magsaysay Hall, SSS build­ing on East Av­enue, Que­zon City for the ben­e­fit of guild mem­bers, es­pe­cially the el­derly. Reg­is­tra­tion starts at 7am. Par­tic­i­pat­ing in the said mis­sion, con­sist­ing of med­i­cal, den­tal, op­ti­cal and acupunc­ture ser­vices, are var­i­ous Ro­tary Clubs un­der RI District 3810 and 3780, the Metro Manila De­vel­op­ment Author­ity, Best Foun­da­tion, Inc., Dream Maker Foun­da­tion, Inc., IAP Foun­da­tion, Inc., Doc­thirty One Move­ment Inc., Que­zon City Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal, DoH, and Asian Tele­vi­sion Con­tent (ATC). Vol­un­teer Doc­tors will be spear­headed by Dr. Rosendo (Jun) Papin, Jr., Dr. Baby Rose Papin & Dr. Randy Rivera.

Through the ini­tia­tive of the Ac­tors Guild, an of­fice space to be known as the “Home of Filipino Artists” has been given by the SSS administration in sup­port of Filipino artists to pro­vide for their se­cu­rity and ben­e­fit in recog­ni­tion of their con­tri­bu­tion to the en­rich­ment of Philip­pine cul­ture and arts. Bless­ing and in­au­gu­ra­tion of the said of­fice will be done ear­lier on the same day to­gether with SSS of­fi­cials led by Chair Dean Amado Valdez and Pres­i­dent Em­manuel Dooc. KAPPT will award to the 1st 250 or more qual­i­fied mem­bers dur­ing the med­i­cal mis­sion an ini­tial pre­mium for SSS con­tri­bu­tion.
