SMB’s Fajardo says winning his main concern

-

There’s no keeping June Mar Fajardo down.

Despite receiving an inadvertent elbow from teammate Elijah Millsap and suffering a boxer’s cut, the reigning back-toback PBA MVP made an inspiring return for San Miguel, which clinched a 95-92 win over Barangay Ginebra in Game Two.

He finished with 18 points and 23 rebounds as his Beermen tied the series at 1-all.

The 6-foot-10 big man believes that not returning to the floor would have been more painful.

“Hindi naman masakit yung sugat. Mas masakit yung matalo,” added Fajardo.

He needed to head to the dugout and miss a good part of the second quarter to deal with the cut above his right eye but insisted on returning to help out his team, which could not afford to lose the game and potentially drop down to 0-2 in the best-of-five series. —
