Capacite sizzles in Motack race

Jade Capacite stunned last year’s overall top motack rider Sylvester Ramirez to clinch the top spot in novice automatic category at the start of the Phoenix-FDR Philippine Motorcycle Time Attack Series 2017 at Toledo City’s iconic parola the other day

Capacite posted the best time of 39.32 seconds during the first run in this motor gymkhana-type of event that requires not only speed but also flawless maneuvers and mental picture of the pattern designed that day.

On the final run, Capacite improved his mark with 39.03 seconds. FDRGudmoto’s Ramirez finished second in 39.41 seconds followed by Rene Abunda placed third with 40.72 seconds clocking.

Abunda though baged the novice underbone title with a time of 45.60 seconds after edging out Lloyd Delantar (48.70sec) and SMDI-ASV’s Justin Mallari (49.18sec).

The 19-year-old Mallari though still has something to be happy about as he topped the beginners automatic in 44.60 seconds. The next two sports were occupied by Khen Misa (52.65sec) and Patrick Prajes (45sec).

Mallari’s youngest sister Chloe got runner-up trophy on the eve of her 17th birthday via the ladies open won Toledo’s pride Annesse Lucero.

The rest of the winners were Clint Dolino (backbone), Van Ricablanca (sportsbike), Khen Misa (pocket bike) and, Rino Villamor (beginners underbone).—
