Over 800 run­ners to join Pink Run

More than 800 run­ners will be out on the streets for the 11th edi­tion of the ‘Pink Run’ to­mor­row morn­ing start­ing and end­ing at the Ter­races in Ayala Cen­ter Cebu.

Spear­headed by Philip­pine Col­lege of Sur­geons Cebu Cen­tral-Eastern Visayas Chap­ter and Philip­pine So­ci­ety of Gen­eral Sur­geons Cebu-Eastern Visayas chap­ter, the run­ning event aims to pro­mote breast can­cer aware­ness.

The race fea­tures 3-kilo­me­ter, 6K and 12K cat­e­gories.

"We will be there rain or shine and we are ready. This is our way of pro­mot­ing breast can­cer aware­ness and early de­tec­tion. We are also ad­vo­cat­ing healthy life­style," said head or­ga­nizer Dr. Peter Man­cao.

Aside from the Zumba ex­er­cise, there will also be a breast can­cer aware­ness fo­rum af­ter the race.

In­ter­ested par­ties may still reg­is­ter to­day at the ‘Think Pink Desk’ lo­cated at the Ac­tive Zone of Ayala Cen­ter Cebu. Regis­tra­tion fee is P500 for all cat­e­gories.—
