COMELEC extends deadline for reactivation of overseas voting records

THE DEPARTMENT of Foreign Affairs announced that the Commission on Elections has extended the period of filing for application for reactivation of overseas voting records the until December 9.

According to the DFA, the COMELEC has also simplified the process of this by allowing applications to be filed in two steps - first, by sending a copy of the duly accomplished OVF No. 1G, including its attachment, if applicable, via e-mail to overseasvoting.reactivation or through fax at (02) 5212952.

And secondly, overseas Filipinos can also send them through mail or by personal delivery a copy of their duly accomplished OVG No. 1G and any attachments necessary to the nearest Embassy, Consulate, Mission, MECO or at the Office for Overseas Voting (OFOC) in COMELEC, Manila.

It said the form for application for reactivation is available at any Embassy, Consulate, Mission, MECO or may be downloaded from the COMELEC website at or DFA-OVS at websites.
