Mid-year photo courses at Fort Santiago

-

Photography is an exciting field where many find a worthwhile hobby, spending much time to learn more by reading books and magazines. Others even attend seminars and join photo contests to test and hone their skills and compare their works with others.

The Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) is offering basic photo course for those who want to learn photography as a hobby and advanced photography course for those who want to learn more to become a professional photographer, and a special course for those who want to be more competitive and earn extra income

Eduviges Huang, chairperson of the FPPF, said for beginners there is a lesson plan that will enable them to acquire the basic skills to operate a camera and take good photos in five days or 40 hours.

There is an even shorter time to teach corporate employees how to operate the camera and come up with nicely composed pictures.

The modules are packaged for corporations as they realize the value of good photography in communication.

With trained photo staff, companies enjoy better presentations and find their communication better understood because of visuals. Better pictures also are indispensable to effective social networking.

Not only students and out-of-school youth but also professionals like doctors, bankers, dentists, engineers, teachers, journalists, architects, accountants, nurses, designers, artists, as well as showbiz personalities like Smokey Manaloto, adventurers, and even priests and nuns found their way to Fort Santiago to learn photography.

Generals, justices, government officials and foreigners also joined workshops in the past.

Participants can choose whether on weekdays or weekends.

The next advanced photography courses will be on July 30.

FPPF also offers two-Sunday videography on Aug. 14 and 21 and wedding photography on Sept. 12-15.
