Albie Casiño feels relieved

- — RICKY LO

Did Max Eigenmann make a Freudian slip when she revealed on Good Times With Mo Twister last Thursday night that…yes, indeed!... Jake Ejercito is the biological father of Ellie, the four-year-old daughter of Max’s halfsister Andi Eigenmann?

“Yes,” Max stressed to host Mo Twister, “he is the biological father. They did a test. Yeah, he’s the dad. They’re coparenting. That’s why he always posts photos of my niece.”

Thanks to Max for settling the nagging issue that has dented Albie’s budding career (but, thank heavens, he has successfully bounced back), caused a rift between Andi’s mom Jaclyn Jose and Jake’s mom Laarni Enriquez (they used to be close friends), and hounded Jake all the way to Singapore where he’s taking his M.A. in Marketing.

“Thank you!” was all that Albie posted on his Instagram. Asked by The STAR for comment, Albie simply replied, “Relieved!”

In a phone interview, Albie’s mom Rina admitted, “We knew about that all along but we kept silent.” That must be why Albie’s side was insisting on a DNA test to bring out the truth…and nothing but. “Time has vindicated Albie,” added Rina.

To be fair, The STAR texted Jaclyn for comment. No comment. And neither did Andi say a word.

Laarni also didn’t answer text messages. Same with Jake (now in Singapore) who is smarting from a recent media war with Andi who dismissed him as a non-talent (ouch!).

Actually, as early as last March in an exclusive interview with The STAR before he went back to Singapore, Jake kind of indirectly spilled the beans.

Here’s part of that interview: Now, to the crucial question: Are you the father of Andi’s daughter?

“Let’s put it this way…Since Andi got pregnant, I have been supportive of her. We have known each other since we were in diapers because my mom is a good friend of her mom. May photos kami na naka- diaper kami. I was in London when her daughter was born.” Did you and Andi go steady?

“Yes. Four to five years. We broke up two years ago. But we have remained friends. We have common friends. Our friends from way back are still our friends now. What Andi and I have in common is the love for traveling. The last time we traveled was recently…to Cebu.” Are you a ninong of Andi’s daughter? “No, I’m not.” Can she cry on your shoulder? “If she wants to, why not?” How do you treat Andi’s daughter? “I treat her like my daughter.” (Clarification: Jake, however, didn’t say if he has any “biological” relationship to Andi’s daughter.) No need to read between the lines, right?

P.S. Had either Jake or Andi told the truth, no issue could have exploded. Also on Mo Twister’s show, Max revealed that Andi has been going steady with the younger brother of her [Max’s] surfer friend for almost a year now.)
