3 killed as NPA, sol­diers clash

CA­MARINES NORTE – A woman and her two grand­chil­dren were killed and an­other was wounded in a clash be­tween govern­ment troops and New Peo­ple’s Army rebels in Mas­bate on Thurs­day.

Se­nior In­spec­tor Malu Calubaquib, Bi­col po­lice spokesper­son, said sol­diers of the 3rd Scout Ranger Co. led by Lt. Karl John Ca­billo en­coun­tered around seven rebels.

Calubaquib said an un­de­ter­mined num­ber of rebels were wounded in the clash.
