Man ac­cused of killing wife, mother-in-law sur­ren­ders

LEGAZPI CITY – A man who al­legedly killed his wife and mother-in-law last week sur­ren­dered on Thurs­day.

Joey Cariaga, 46, was ac­com­pa­nied by his lawyer when he turned him­self in to the po­lice, ac­cord­ing to Chief In­spec­tor Malou Calubaquib, Bi­col po­lice spokesper­son.

Cariaga al­legedly beat to death his wife Noemi and her mother Con­chita An­tio­quia us­ing an ar­nis stick.

“His 13-year-old son tes­ti­fied that his fa­ther killed his mother and grand­mother,” Calubaquib said.
