HOROSCOPE READINGS FOR THE MONTH AHEAD

Town & Country (Philippines) - - STARS SIGNS - By Katharine Merlin

ARIES MARCH 21–APRIL 20

There seem to be lots of shifts and changes in the air for you this month. With your ruling planet Mars in the down-to-earth sign of Taurus until the 21st, practical considerations must take precedence now, but open your mind to the idea of new arrangements that free you from the past. Your closest relationships are accented by both Venus and the new Moon, presenting challenges and urging you to forgive and forget and move toward a brighter future.

TAURUS APRIL 21–MAY 21

With forceful Mars in your sign until the 21st, your will to win is driving you, but awkward issues around joint finances demand a great deal of finesse. Some problems may not be settled until Saturn turns direct in mid-August, but you can break through barriers and get on a more productive track near the 17th. Personally, your willingness to make concessions will work wonders as April winds down.

GEMINI MAY 22–June 21

Partners’ inability to live up to your expectations may disappoint you this month, so focus on your own pursuits and the intriguing social and creative activities you’re involved in. With Mercury, your ruler, going out of sync from April 9 until May 3, your indecision is justified, so give yourself a break and wait and see. Mars’s entrance into your birth sign on the 21st revs up your energy and your spirits.

CANCER June 22–JuLY 22

April will be a lively month, because the Sun is at the top of your chart and jaunty Jupiter dominates. Professionally, you can make great strides, although how much you’ve gained may not be evident until mid-May. Until the 21st, Mars’s influence accents the importance of daring to go off the beaten track. Romantic issues should start to untangle once Venus begins moving forward after the 15th.

LEO JULY 23–AuGuST 23

Aggressive Mars is out of sync with your birth sign until the 21st, activating your ambitions but arousing conflicts at the same time. Yet with the Sun in Aries aspecting lucky Jupiter, travel and distant contacts will wonderfully shift your perspective. Resist the urge to get quick results, and instead focus on the overview. Until Mercury turns direct on May 3, the answers you’re seeking don’t seem to be forthcoming.

VIRGO AUGUST 24–SePTeMBeR 23

With Venus contacting Saturn twice this month, ongoing issues with a key figure in your life seem to be throwing you off your stride. However, opportunities that crop up near the 7th appear beneficial, if not life-changing. With powerful Mars rising to the top of your chart, you’re entering an active new cycle. Meanwhile, don’t make snap judgments about those who matter to you.

LIBRA SEPTEMBER 24–OCTOBeR 23

Jupiter is in your sign, which means you’re in a cycle of self-discovery and new directions, and this month the planets urge you to be true to yourself and to encourage others to do the same. Relationships may be in a state of flux, but once Venus turns direct on the 15th you’ll begin to see the path ahead clearly. The new Moon in pragmatic Taurus accents financial arrangements that stabilize your affairs.

SCORPIO OCTOBER 24–nOVeMBeR 22

Others seem eager to support you—as long as you allow them in. With Mercury changing direction until early May, a certain amount of confusion is inevitable, and with romantic, emotional Venus under siege, misinterpretations and defensive reactions will lead to hurt feelings. Still, all should come right as April winds down, and the new Moon of the 26th lights up your personal skies.

SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 23–DeCeMBeR 21

Partners don’t seem to be on the same page this month, but with Jupiter opening up your world, your horizons are expanding. Sagittarians tend to be gregarious, and this is definitely the time to forge new connections. And while you do have to guard against spreading yourself too thin, you should not hesitate to explore intriguing options. Work comes first, though, as April winds down.

CAPRICORN DECEMBER 22–JAnuARY 20

Ups and downs will characterize this month, but with Jupiter in your favor you hold a winning hand. Making your presence felt is essential near the full Moon of the 11th, so don’t hang back. However, misunderstandings may cause needless stress— especially near the 8th and 21st. So try to remain as objective as possible, because others’ reactions won’t be as negative as they seem.

AQUARIUS JANUARY 21–FeBRuARY 19

With stress-producing Mars at the bottom of your chart, conditions at home may be unsettling, or you may feel overly driven and anxious. Financial matters could be a concern, with fleeting aspects casting a cloud as well. What does look encouraging are possibilities for travel and an opening up of new prospects. By month’s end you appear to be turning a corner that gets you onto firmer ground.

PISCES FEBRUARY 20–MARCH 20

You can work out new professional/ financial arrangements this month, but it likely won’t be easy. So seize opportunities when they arise—but be patient and flexible. With Saturn turning retrograde at the top of your chart, it won’t be until mid-August that you’ll gain the perspective you need to make crucial decisions. Get away near the 26th if you can. A change of scenery promises to work wonders.
