OFF TO NEW YORK CITY
Curated by Pinto Museum founder Dr. Joven Cuanang with Federico de Vera, art historian Patrick Flores, and Dr. Luca Parolari, the exhibition “Pinto Manhattan Manila” drew New York’s jet set to Urban Zen, fashion designer Donna Karan’s nonprofit space in Greenwich Village, where works by 30 Filipino artists were up for sale. Among the featured artists were the veteran trio of Elmer Borlongan, Emmanuel Garibay, and Mark Justiniani, as well as Asian Cultural Council grantees Manuel Ocampo, Leeroy New, Riel Hilario, Dex Fernandez, and Nona Garcia. Proceeds will go to the Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo and the Asian Cultural Council.
