Cu­rated by Pinto Mu­seum founder Dr. Joven Cua­nang with Federico de Vera, art his­to­rian Pa­trick Flores, and Dr. Luca Paro­lari, the ex­hi­bi­tion “Pinto Man­hat­tan Manila” drew New York’s jet set to Ur­ban Zen, fash­ion de­signer Donna Karan’s non­profit space in Green­wich Vil­lage, where works by 30 Filipino artists were up for sale. Among the fea­tured artists were the vet­eran trio of Elmer Bor­lon­gan, Em­manuel Garibay, and Mark Jus­tini­ani, as well as Asian Cul­tural Coun­cil grantees Manuel Ocampo, Leeroy New, Riel Hi­lario, Dex Fer­nan­dez, and Nona Gar­cia. Pro­ceeds will go to the Pinto Art Mu­seum in An­tipolo and the Asian Cul­tural Coun­cil.
