Through the Consuelo Chito Madrigal Foundation, enable the country’s poorest families to become selfsufficient. Chu-Chu serves as the chairwoman of the foundation founded by her aunt in 1997. Its key initiatives include microfinance, skills and vocation training, and providing scholarships. Appearing on T&C’s cover last year, she mentioned that the foundation’s microfinance programs have benefitted around 30,000 people, while its feeding program covers close to half a million individuals. Her two daughters, Alex and Mic, are also young philanthropists, supporting causes such as early childhood education, providing shelter for the homeless, and raising awareness for mental illness and depression.
