ABS-CBN’s latest primetime offering, the Bea Alonzo-Ian Veneracion starrer A Love to Last, scored a high 25-percent national rating when it premiered last January 9, according to the Kantar Media research firm.

The romantic family drama series also scored on Twitter, where the hashtag #ALoveToLastWorldPremiere became a top-trending topic worldwide.

It looked like the love story of Anton (Ian) and Andeng (Bea), both brokenhearted characters, was off to a good start.

The Kapamilya network may have hit a new gold mine in the refreshing TV tandem of the eternally young-looking Ian Veneracion and the station’s homegrown leading lady, Bea Alonzo.

A Love to Last airs weekdays on ABS-CBN after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and My Dear Heart.
