YES! (Philippines) - - IN THIS ISSUE - text by gabby reyes libarios photos CULLED from the INSTAGRAM accounts of nice print photography & various netizens

Date: august 5, 2017 Venue: whitespace manila, makati city

“Last night was a dream.”

That’s what Claudia Barretto wrote in a post on her Instagram account (@claudia) last August 6. That post, the caption for a blurry photo of Claudia with her back to the camera, referred to the budding recording artist’s 18th birthday party, which was held the previous night at the Whitespace Manila events venue in Makati.

Indeed, Claudia’s debut party was a dream. From the beautiful gowns to the beautiful guests, from the modern French-inspired decor to the French food, the party was what every debutante would wish for.

Well-wishers feasted on prosciutto di parma (Italian dry-cured ham), pappardelle al telefono (large, broad, flat pasta noodles with strings of mozzarella), seabass fillet, and braised and grilled US Angus short ribs.

When it came time to give her thankyou speech, Claudia—the youngest daughter of Marjorie Barretto with estranged partner Dennis Padilla— turned emotional. “The past three years of my life have been the most important years of my life,” she told her guests, “because I reached this sort of selfrealization, awareness, and commitment to improving myself. And I realized that it wouldn’t have happened if I hadn’t had the experiences I had with each and every one of you.”

The guests, composed of family, friends, and colleagues from showbiz, applauded her.

Later during the program, Claudia performed her single, “Stay.” She is said to be currently working on an album, which is being produced by Universal Records Philippines and will be released soon.

With a face and talent like hers, Claudia Barretto will go places, for sure.

All eyes were on Claudia when she made her grand entrance at the party hall. It was a grand entrance that was both magical and breathtaking. When the houselights of Whitespace Manila were dimmed and the bright spotlight was shone on the debutante, the Swarovski crystals on Claudia’s ball gown glistened like stars in the night sky.

Well-known wedding planner Teena Barretto took care of the nitty-gritty of the party. Claudia, in one of her Instagram posts, admitted that if it weren’t for Teena, she would have had a difficult time putting together the minute details of her party. Addressing Teena directly in her post, Claudia wrote: “Thank you for conceptualizing and coming up with the best ideas that helped put my indecisive self to rest.”

In case you haven’t heard, Teena was the wedding planner of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, and of Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid.

Claudia Isabelle Barretto, whose actual birthday falls on July 26, entered a new chapter in her life when she celebrated her debut in grand fashion ten days later, on August 5, at the Whitespace Manila events venue on Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City.

Earlier, Claudia had a pre-debut photo shoot (opposite page) at Shangri-La at the Fort, a five-star hotel in the Bonifacio Global City complex, Taguig City. Looking poised, ladylike, and regal, Claudia nailed the photo shoot like a pro.
