Kapuso stars at summit

YES! (Philippines) - - Stargazing -

Contract stars of GMA Artist Center, the talent-management arm of GMA Network, routinely visit the Summit Media offices to touch base with YES! Magazine and our online affiliate, PEP.ph.

Past office visitors included heartthrobs Ruru Madrid, Phytos Ramirez, Rocco Nacino, Mike Tan, and Benjamin Alves; teen stars Bea Binene and Bianca Umali; and newbies Klea Pineda, Arra San Agustin, Inah de Belen, and Lindsay de Vera.

Then came the turn of hunks Jak Roberto and Addy Raj, followed by that of versatile actresses LJ Reyes, Chynna Ortaleza, and Yasmien Kurdi. gma stars’ office visits cybergate tower 3 pioneer st., mandaluyong city august 23, 2017 (jak & addy) september 20, 2017 (chynna, yasmien & lj) For PEP.ph, Addy Raj (left) and Jak Roberto did an interview, a game, and a storytelling session on video.

In the interview, Jak answered questions about his rumored romance with Barbie Forteza, who played his and Addy’s leading lady in the romcom series Meant To Be. “Hindi namin pinag-uusapan,” Jak said of Barbie. “Basta, ang totoo niyan, mas madalas kasi kaming tawanan lang nang tawanan… Para kaming pa-romcom.”

Addy, on the other hand, recalled a few weird experiences that have come his way since his stint in Meant To Be: “Fans at my home, knocking on my door. In the mall, some random girl will just come and kiss me, and run away. Hahaha!”

The two handsome actors played the game called “Don’t Laugh Challenge,” where they cracked jokes with a straight face. Jak won. The storytelling session turned out to be a challenge, too, as they read excerpts from the classic children’s stories The Ugly Duckling (for Jack) and The Three Little Pigs (for Addy) using their sexiest voice. Addy won. His sexy reading can be viewed on PEP.ph. Offscreen, Chynna Ortaleza, Yasmien Kurdi, and LJ Reyes (L-R) are devoted mothers. Chynna and her husband, actor-musician Kean Cipriano, have a one-year-old daughter named Stellar. Inspired by their experiences as new parents, the couple have partnered with fellow first-timers to put up Unna Cares, a line of baby products that are sold on its website.

LJ’s experiences as a single working mom to seven-year-old Aki, whose father is actor Paulo Avelino, likewise motivated her to create the phone app Smart Mommy App (MApp). MApp provides info from first aid to finding child-friendly and family-oriented establishments and activities.

Yasmien plans to have another child, something requested by her daughter Ayesha Zara, who is turning five on November 22. “Baby sister daw,” Yasmien said of Ayesha’s request. “Pero ako, kahit ano, mapa-boy or mapa-girl. Kung girl, okey lang, kasi nagagawa din naman ng girls lahat ng nagagawa ng mga lalake ngayon. Kung boy, okey din, kasi wala pa kaming boy.”

The 28-year actress and her pilot-husband, Rey Soldevilla Jr., have been married for nearly six years.
