From the EDITOR
Family is apparently where we’re at this November. We have Carmina
Villarroel talking about how she played the three roles of mother/wife/actress all at the same time, particularly at the time her twins were growing up. (Spoiler alert: she did not sleep.) We also have Karla Estrada speaking confidently of her famous son Daniel’s take-charge spirit. (Mark her words: he will take care of his three siblings.) Then we have celeb kids all turning a great one XX year old! Diana Zubiri’s daughter, James
Yap’s son, Chito Miranda’s boy. Even more exciting, there also seems to be a baby boom happening in showbiz right now—just take a look at Camille Prats and Maricar de Mesa, and partners Maya and Geoff Eigenmann, beaming beside their bundles of joy. (Never has a cliché been so nice to use.) And on our very cover, we have Aljur
Abrenica, Kylie Padilla, and their newborn Alas. Listen to their story, and if this isn’t a couple in love, with the man working without whimper or fatigue in order to care for his partner and his child, with the woman stopping the world as she knew it in order to care for the two boys in her life, even as she deals with the intransigent rules of her famous father... if this isn’t family, that tiny grouping of people bound by love and will, then what is? •
