BABY MALIA FRANCINE

YES! (Philippines) - - Hello! -

BIRTHDAY: January 18, 2018 PARENTS: Marietta Subong (aka Pokwang) & Lee O’Brian On the day of Malia Francine’s birthday, her proud dad, American actor Lee O’Brian, took to Instagram to announce to the world that his first-born with his partner Pokwang had finally arrived. Lee’s IG message went: “This morning at 8:28 am Manila time, the most beautiful little angel came into our world, our Baby Malia!!

“Mamang @itspokwang27 is recovering well and are @maesubong is fired up to get the Older Sister duties going on...We love you, Malia!!”

The message came with the hashtags #MayroonBabyObrian #Pokwang #LeeOBrian #BabyMalia #9MonthsDown #OurAngel.

Pokwang met Malia’s dad on the set of her 2014 movie Edsa Woolworth, produced by The Filipino Channel (TFC). Shot in the Bay Area in San Francisco, California, the dramacomedy included American actors, and Lee was one of them.

Lee pursued Pokwang in Manila, and by January of 2015, they were a couple. That same year, Pokwang suffered a miscarriage with her and Lee’s first baby. In early 2017, Pokwang went on the family way again, and that was when she took time off from work to make sure she would have a healthy pregnancy.

In October 2017, the couple announced they were expecting a baby girl whom they would lovingly call Malia Francine. Soon after giving birth, Pokwang (here with the loves of her life: elder daughter Mae Subong, partner Lee O’Brian, and baby Malia) took to Instagram and wrote: “Goodmorning... from Malia the daddy’s girl…sa lahat po ng nagdasal na maging safe ang pagluwal ko kay baby Malia maraming salamat po.... happy kami sobra @leeobrian at si ate @maesubong maraming salamat po.”

Fans, by the way, assumed that Pokwang named her daughter after Kathryn Bernardo’s character Malia, the prophesized savior of the wolfvampire race in the hit TV series La Luna Sangre.
