Camille’s Bundle of Joy
Actress and TV host Camille Prats-Yambao proudly introduced her daughter Nala, who was born just last September, at the event where the two of them were presented as the celebrity endorsers of the Joie brand of car seats, strollers, high chairs, and baby carriers.
The star of the drama series Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw and host of the GMA lifestyle program Mars also talked about her advocacy in creating awareness for the “Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act of 2017,” which has been approved by the House of Representatives and is now under deliberation in the Senate. The road-safety measure proposes the use of a child restraint system “designed to protect infants and young children during a collision or a sudden stop.”
“I know that here in the Philippines, a lot of parents are not used to putting their babies and toddlers in car seats,” Camille pointed out at the event. “But in other countries, it has been required for a long time already because of the safety factor. So it’s about time that we focus on keeping our children safe when traveling.”
