Kiel­basa Sausage with Tri-color Bell Pep­pers

This col­or­ful dish is sweet, tangy, and re­ally easy to make. You can serve it as an ap­pe­tizer or en­joy it as a main with steamed rice.

✔ 1 (500-gram) pack

kiel­basa sausages ✔ 2 ta­ble­spoons veg­etable oil ✔ 1 large white onion, cut into

large chunks ✔ 1 large red bell pep­per, seeded and cut into large chunks ✔ 1 large green bell pep­per, seeded and cut into large chunks ✔ 1 large yel­low bell pep­per, seeded and cut into large chunks ✔ 1 tea­spoon ground

black pep­per ✔ 1 tea­spoon salt ✔ 1 cup sweet chili sauce

(we used Pan­tai)

1 Boil sausage in 2 cups wa­ter for 10 min­utes. Drain and al­low to cool for a few min­utes, then slice into thick rounds. Set aside. 2 Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Pan-fry sausage for a few min­utes just un­til slightly golden brown. 3 Add onions and sauté for 2 min­utes. Add bell pep­pers and sauté for 3 min­utes. Sea­son with ground black pep­per and salt. 4 Add sweet chili sauce and stir to com­bine. Sim­mer for 5 min­utes. Serve hot.
