Here are just some of our favorite letters that we’ve received through the years.

Yummy (Philippines) - - We are family -

May 2009

“I’ve been collecting (not to mention, trying almost everything in) your magazine for over a year now. It’s been almost a year since a couple of my friends and I went up to Sagada with only the April 2008 issue of Yummy as a guide. It was such a memorable trip for us. We cannot deny that Yummy was part of building the friendship of our barkada. Plus, we have all become foodies after being greatly influenced by you. Thanks, Yummy!” —Conrad Anthony Balaoing

May 2010

“My husband is a pilot and he says that there is nothing better than a home-cooked meal. I wanted to surprise him when he got home. I saw your magazine in the supermarket and your cover was so attractive! I could almost taste and smell the food. I knew exactly what to whip up for my hubby. When he arrived, he was happily surprised. His words: ‘It’s so nice to come home. Mama, this meal was yummy.‘ Thank you, Yummy. You have taught me the perfect way to welcome my husband home.” —Karima Tengco-castro

August 2015

“I cannot recall ever having written a letter to any magazine, but I just had to let you know how good I think the September 2015 issue is. Everything was clearly given a lot of thought, and the recipes—i just can’t wait to try them! I’m a cooking teacher and writer, and it has been such a long time since anything I’ve read has piqued my interest enough to make me want to try new dishes. The September issue did just that. I know that it will be one of those that I will go back to again and again.” —Risa Marie R. Garcia
