Golf Abreu
On the 23rd of September, the 5th Stage of the Abreu Golf Circuit took place on the Vidago Palace Hotel golf course. The Palace Hotel de Vidago, emblematic thermal hotel designed in 1910 by the architect José Ferreira da Costa presents 40 hectares of beautiful gardens and, in the XXIst century, was renovated by the architect Siza Vieira. This sumptuous and historic space transforms any moment, even if sporty, into a gathering full of elegance and charisma, and so was this “Abreu Day”. We had 86 participants and there was no shortage of women. The results were great and the victories were very contested. Therefore, we highlight the teams of the Abreu Golf Circuit: Gustavo Gregório Guzzo and Gustavo Santos da Silva (1st place Net with 48 points), Tito Serra and Gonçalo Neves (2nd place Net with 46 points) and Carlos Francisco Lencastre with Pedro Pessanha Montenegro (1st place Gross with 45 points). Once the game was over, the teams meet for an enjoyable lunch amongst golfers, partners and organizers. Then the prizes and raffles of the tombola are already habitual as the ideal closing for these Abreu moments. In 2017, and in the continuity of the solidarity project of the Golf Circuit Abreu, 10% of the value of the registrations are donated to IPO Porto. Dia 23, deste mês, aconteceu a 5ª Etapa do Circuito de Golfe Abreu no campo de golfe do Vidago Palace Hotel. O Palace Hotel de Vidago, emblemático hotel termal desenhado em 1910 pelo arquiteto José Ferreira da Costa apresenta 40 hectares de jardins belíssimos e, já no século XXI, foi remodelado pelo arquiteto Siza Vieira. Este sumptuoso e histórico espaço transforma qualquer momento, mesmo que desportivo, num gathering pleno de elegância e carisma e assim foi este “Dia Abreu”. Contámos com 86 participantes e não faltaram presenças femininas. Os resultados foram ótimos e as vitórias foram disputadas saudavelmente. Assim sendo, destacamos as equipas do Circuito de Golfe Abreu: Gustavo Gregório Guzzo e Gustavo Santos da Silva (1º lugar Net, com 48 pontos), Tito Serra e Gonçalo Neves (2º lugar Net, com 46 pontos) e ainda Carlos Francisco Lencastre com Pedro Pessanha Montenegro (1º lugar Gross, com 45 pontos). Terminado o jogo, as equipas reúnem-se, no próprio espaço, para um agradável almoço e dá-se um convívio pleno de fair play entre golfistas, parceiros e organizadores. Em seguida, a entrega de prémios e sorteios da tômbola já são habituais como o fecho ideal para estes momentos Abreu. Em 2017, e na continuidade do projeto solidário do Circuito de Golfe Abreu, 10% do valor das inscrições revertem a favor do IPO Porto.
