NEW “RESIDENTS” AT VICTORY

GOLFE - - SPECIAL REPORT -

The Victoria maintenance team have one more problem to overcome in the day-to-day care of the fairways, but especially greens, with the discovery of new residents. Not long ago, otters were detected in the courses lakes and the “discovery” was followed by a biologist from Zoomarine, who counted about 30 animals. Victoria GC has seven lakes that abut seven fairways and are next to six greens. And at a short distance south of the 16th and 17th holes there is a vast area of ponds with dense vegetation, conducive to a safe habitat for the otters.
