MES con­ducts food safety aware­ness pro­gramme

With the ob­jec­tive of ed­u­cat­ing young stu­dents about food preser­va­tion and per­sonal hy­giene, MES In­dian School re­cently con­ducted a food safety aware­ness pro­gramme for its stu­dents aged be­tween 8 and 13 at the Con­fer­ence Hall of the school. Klau­dyna Surma, Food In­spec­tor in the Min­istry of Mu­nic­i­pal­ity and En­vi­ron­ment Qatar, con­ducted the pro­gramme. Klau­dyna Surma had an in­ter­ac­tive ses­sion with the in­quis­i­tive stu­dents on how to pre­serve food and es­sen­tial pro­to­col that one needs to be aware of for food hy­giene. The en­thu­si­as­tic par­tic­i­pants were re­warded with gifts for their ac­cu­rate an­swers dur­ing the ses­sion. Pam­phlets re­gard­ing food safety were also dis­trib­uted on the oc­ca­sion. Gincy Wil­son and Shiju Se­bas­tian, mem­bers of the health and wel­fare de­part­ment of the school, co-or­di­nated the pro­gramme.
