Aspetar holds seminar ahead of gymnastics Worlds
The Organizing Committee for the 48th FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Doha 2018, along with Aspetar, the world’s leading specialised orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital, held a seminar at Aspire on Thursday focusing on the first such gymnastics event to be held the Middle East.
Aspetar shall be providing all medical care and sports services not only to the athletes before and during the championships, to be held from October 25 to November 3, but also to the public attending the mega sports event.
The best of Aspetar’s medical staff will be offering their services for the championship with 50 of world’s leading sports medicine practitioners available to attend to all injuries, urgent cases and emergencies, if any.
The partnership between Aspetar Hospital and the Organising Committee of the World Gymnastics is committed in its mission to help athletes compete to their full potential and reach the highest levels of performance during the championships.
The championships will showcase Aspetar’s leading role in protecting local, regional and international players from all sports-based injuries given the wealth of knowledge and international experience the hospital has gained through major tournaments hosted by Qatar such as the World Handball and World Boxing Championships in 2015, the World Cycling Championships in 2016 and other major sporting events.
Meanwhile, today there will be a new promotional event for World Gymnastics at the Mall of Qatar following the success of an earlier show which saw the public demanding a repeat.
The organisers have announced many prizes and free tickets for spectators attending the world gymnastics championships at the Aspire Dome.
