Nis­san has re­peated its top rank­ing as the most ef­fec­tively mar­keted au­to­mo­tive brand in the MENA re­gion (Mid­dle East and North Africa) for the third suc­ces­sive year fol­low­ing the an­nounce­ment of the in­flu­en­tial Effie Awards.

The Effies are the gold stan­dard in mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions ef­fec­tive­ness. They re­ward cam­paigns, from any dis­ci­pline, which have achieved suc­cess through proven, ef­fec­tive mar­ket­ing com­mu­ni­ca­tions.

“The Effie In­dex bench­marks the brands, mar­keters, agen­cies and game-chang­ing com­pa­nies that are do­ing it right, it's a great re­source,” said Nis­san's Mid­dle East Re­gional Man­ag­ing Direc­tor Samir Cher­fan.

Nis­san achieved record sales of 217,685 ve­hi­cles in the Mid­dle East in 2013 – up 20.9% on the pre­vi­ous year's 180,015 units. Nis­san's sales vol­ume in the GCC for the lat­est fi­nan­cial year ended at 162,238 units, an in­crease of 27.2%, or 127,559 sales, on the pre­vi­ous year. The Nis­san-In­finiti mar­ket share for GCC is cur­rently 9.9%, a hike of 18.7% on fi­nan­cial year 2012.
