The BMW 3 Se­ries was the best-sell­ing model which saw a 184% in­crease in sales fol­lowed by the X5, 7 Se­ries and 5 Se­ries mod­els. Sales for the MINI brand dur­ing the first six months of the year were led by the first Sports Ac­tiv­ity Coupé in the pre­mium com­pact seg­ment; the MINI Pace­man. The MINI Cabrio and MINI Coun­try­man were also strong con­trib­u­tors with 100% and 35% growth re­spec­tively.

Al­far­dan Group-Au­to­mo­tive Divi­sion Chief Op­er­at­ing Of­fi­cer Mo­hammed Kan­deel said: “Tes­ta­ment to the strength of the Qatari mar­ket, these fig­ures high­light the de­sire for BMW Group ve­hi­cles and the im­por­tance of Al­far­dan Au­to­mo­biles' on­go­ing fo­cus on ex­cep­tional cus­tomer ser­vice which our cus­tomers con­tinue to en­joy. "

Over­all, BMW Group Mid­dle East sales across the Mid­dle East re­gion in­creased 25% dur­ing the first half of 2014 com­pared to the same pe­riod last year. A to­tal num­ber of 15,797 BMW and MINI ve­hi­cles were de­liv­ered to cus­tomers across 12 Mid­dle East mar­kets.
