BRING­ING CUL­TURAL HER­ITAGE TO THE FORE­FRONT

UCL is London’s aca­demic pow­er­house, a multi-dis­ci­plinary univer­sity con­sis­tently ranked in the top ten of global univer­sity league ta­bles. Es­tab­lished in 1826 in or­der to open up higher ed­u­ca­tion in the United King­dom for the first time to stu­dents of any race, class or re­li­gion, UCL con­tin­ues to di­rect its teach­ing and re­search into ad­dress­ing real-world prob­lems. To­day stu­dents from over 140 coun­tries study at UCL, shar­ing the common at­tributes of cre­ativ­ity and crit­i­cal think­ing.

In part­ner­ship with the QF and Qatar Mu­se­ums, UCL was launched in Qatar in 2012 as a world-class re­search-led fa­cil­ity, fo­cus­ing on the cul­tures and so­ci­eties of the Mid­dle East, and in­clud­ing the study of Is­lamic ma­te­rial cul­ture and early tech­nol­ogy. The first Bri­tish univer­sity to open a cam­pus in Qatar, UCL Qatar wel­comed its first in­take of stu­dents in Au­gust 2012.

The port­fo­lio of pro­grammes of­fered at UCL Qatar is ex­clu­sively at post­grad­u­ate level. Since open­ing its doors, UCL Qatar has en­rolled over 140 stu­dents from over 30 coun­tries around the world, across its Master of Arts and Master of Sci­ence de­gree pro­grammes:
