Se­nior Ac­count Di­rec­tor BLJ World­wide Been in Doha since: De­cem­ber 2013 (eight months)

I'm orig­i­nally from North East Eng­land but lived in London since univer­sity. Hav­ing started my ca­reer work­ing in pol­i­tics for Bri­tish gov­ern­ment min­is­ters, I took a sum­mer out trav­el­ling over­land (as much as pos­si­ble) from Syria down to Oman. After that ex­pe­ri­ence, I wanted to work in the Mid­dle East. How­ever, I then spent five years as ad­vi­sor and speech­writer to Se­bas­tian Coe in his role as Chair­man of the London 2012 Olympics which kept me firmly rooted in the UK in­stead. Even now, I miss the at­mos­phere in the Olympic Sta­dium and Velo­drome where I spent so much time work­ing in the sum­mer of 2012. Such big events are unique, in­spi­ra­tional pe­ri­ods. Post-Games it felt like the right time to start a new chal­lenge which ul­ti­mately
