STARS OF SCI­ENCE IS BACK ON TV

The edu­tain­ment re­al­ity show, which pre­miered in Septem­ber on MBC4, will see 12 new Arab can­di­dates show­cas­ing in­no­va­tive and tech­nol­ogy-driven de­signs and prod­ucts.

Qatar Foun­da­tion's Stars of Sci­ence is back with a com­pet­i­tive new for­mat which fea­tures young 20-some­thing Arabs de­vel­op­ing po­ten­tial prod­ucts from con­cept to pro­to­type un­der the men­tor­ship of en­gi­neer­ing and de­sign spe­cial­ists from across the globe. The ul­ti­mate goal is to win a share of the $600,000 (QR2.2 mil­lion) prize money, the win­ner be­ing se­lected dur­ing a live fi­nal through pub­lic vot­ing and jury de­lib­er­a­tion. This sea­son, Stars of Sci­ence has also launched a new web­site that al­lows fans to en­ter into tech­nol­ogy-re­lated dis­cus­sions with the con­tes­tants, jury mem­bers and other ex­perts.
