ARE YOU UP FOR CHALLENGE 22?
Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, spoke passionately about sports and nation building at a packed hall at the Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar.
He emphasised on the importance of cultivating an entrepreneurial culture and encouraging innovation among the region's youth during his talk. As thousands of young graduates enter the job market every year, Al Thawadi addressed the need for viable opportunities in the region to help boost development and prioritize capacity building in the region. Speaking as part of the Dean's Lecture Series, he delivered a presentation on the recently launched ‘Challenge 22' competition to students, faculty, staff and members of the Qatar Foundation community. The ‘Challenge 22' innovation award is managed by the Supreme Committee, in collaboration with Silatech, and the Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), and encourages innovators to submit solution-based proposals that could directly benefit Qatar and other countries when they are hosting global sporting events.
