(Tasali) an­nounced the ar­rival of edu­tain­ment con­cept KidZa­nia to Doha

KidZa­nia, cur­rently op­er­at­ing in 16 lo­ca­tions glob­ally, of­fers chil­dren the op­por­tu­nity to play "adult jobs" in up to a 100 pre­tend roles rang­ing from be­ing a jour­nal­ist, den­tist, beau­ti­cian, news re­porter and ac­tress to a fire­man. The in­door theme park is set in a city that is built to scale for chil­dren, com­plete with build­ings, paved streets, ve­hi­cles and a func­tion­ing econ­omy, run in part­ner­ship with real-world brands like Coca Cola, HSBC, Sony, Honda, Gil­lette, Nes­tle, P&G and Mit­subishi Mo­tor. For in­stance, KidZa­nia Doha's fi­nan­cial sys­tem – banks, ATMs and the lo­cal cur­rency, KidZos – will be man­aged by QNB; the bank will be part of the role-play ac­tiv­i­ties, teach­ing chil­dren ba­sic bank­ing ser­vices and how to spend, save and in­vest their kidZos. KidZa­nia Doha will be lo­cated at As­pire Zone in Doha, Qatar and is ex­pected to open in 2017.
