IRAN'S REBIRTHING PANGS
The Iran Nuclear Framework Deal, several months in the making, was agreed upon by the Islamic Republic of Iran and the P5+1 plus the European Union on April 2 this year. According to this framework, Iran would redesign, convert, and reduce its nuclear facilities, with causes covering the country's enrichment, reprocessing, monitoring and sanctions programmes. The UN's nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, is committed under the deal to release a report by year-end about the status of Iran's alleged weaponization work. On July 14, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, based on the earlier agreed upon framework, was announced.
