TURK­ISH AIR­LINES FLY HIGH WITH THIRD-QUAR­TER PROF­ITS

Turk­ish Air­lines recorded $8.054 bil­lion sales rev­enue and $877 mil­lion of net profit in the first nine months of 2015.

Point­ing to the op­er­a­tional cash gen­er­a­tion abil­ity, Turk­ish Air­lines EBITDA mar­gin for the nine months of 2015 in­creased by 5.5 per­cent­age points and stood at 26.2%. The air­line re­ports 4.6% growth in pas­sen­gers car­ried from Qatar dur­ing 2015. With th­ese fi­nan­cial re­sults the com­pany strength­ened its place among the most prof­itable air­lines in the world. In the first nine months of 2015 Turk­ish Air­lines re­al­ized a ca­pac­ity in­crease of 12.6% (avail­able seat km) and car­ried 46.5 mil­lion pas­sen­gers on its 341,000 flights with a load fac­tor of 79%. Is­tan­bul, the main hub of Turk­ish Air­lines, is now part of a vis­ual de­light for trav­el­ers. To pro­mote the city of Is­tan­bul,” Turk­ish Air­lines has col­lab­o­rated with Rob Whit­worth, a fa­mous Bri­tish di­rec­tor and an ex­pert ur­ban film­maker, who has made a video which high­lights the his­tor­i­cal, cul­tural and so­cial as­pects of Is­tan­bul's unique fab­ric. Of­fi­cials also an­nounced that the air­line has be­come the of­fi­cial part­ner of the Euro­pean Rugby Cham­pi­ons Cup and Chal­lenge Cup.
