Cit­ing sus­pected de­fects in the rear sus­pen­sion, MEC re­called the Ford Ex­plorer 2014-2015 model in Qatar in De­cem­ber.

The Min­istry of Econ­omy and Com­merce (MEC) and Al­mana Mo­tors Com­pany, the ex­clu­sive dis­trib­u­tor for Ford in the coun­try, an­nounced the re­call fol­low­ing the dis­cov­ery of a po­ten­tial de­fect in the weld qual­ity of the rear sus­pen­sion toe links. The move is aimed at pro­tect­ing con­sumers and en­sur­ing that car deal­ers fol­low up on ve­hi­cle de­fects and re­pairs. The re­port fur­ther added that the min­istry also urged cus­tomers to re­port vi­o­la­tions to its con­sumer pro­tec­tion and anti-com­mer­cial fraud depart­ment.
