EM­PLOY­EES CAN USE METRASH, AN ELEC­TRONIC SER­VICE SYS­TEM, TO EXIT THE COUN­TRY EM­PLOYER-EM­PLOYEE RE­LA­TIONS WILL BE REG­U­LATED BY A CON­TRACT SIGNED BY BOTH PAR­TIES BE­FORE THE EM­PLOYEE EN­TERS QATAR DEF­I­NITE-TERM CON­TRACTS SHALL NOT EX­CEED A PE­RIOD OF FIVE YEARS, AND EM­PLOY­EES WITH IN­DEF­I­NITE-TERM CON­TRACTS CAN MOVE TO AN­OTHER COM­PANY AF­TER WORK­ING FOR A MIN­I­MUM OF FIVE YEARS WITH THE FIRST EM­PLOYER NOC NOT RE­QUIRED BUT AP­PROVAL FROM THE MIN­ISTRY OF IN­TE­RIOR (MOI) AND THE MIN­ISTRY OF LABOUR AND SO­CIAL AF­FAIRS (MOLSA) NEEDED TO CHANGE JOB AF­TER END OF CON­TRACT WITH THE PRE­VI­OUS EM­PLOYER THE TWO-YEAR BAN ON WORK­ERS WHO LEAVE THE COUN­TRY AF­TER RE­SIGN­ING FROM THEIR JOB OR AT THE END OF THEIR CON­TRACT DOES NOT AP­PLY ANY MORE EX­PATS CAN ALSO MOVE TO AN­OTHER SPON­SOR WITH THE AP­PROVAL OF MOI AND MOLSA IF THEIR SPON­SOR IS DEAD OR THE COM­PANY NO LONGER EX­ISTS A FINE OF UP TO QR25,000 FOR KEEP­ING PASS­PORTS OF EX­PA­TRI­ATE EM­PLOY­EES, BUT IF THEY GIVE PER­MIS­SION IN WRIT­ING THEN THE SPON­SOR CAN KEEP THEIR PASS­PORT A DIS­PUTE RES­O­LU­TION COM­MIT­TEE WILL BE SET UP TO RE­SOLVE LABOUR-RE­LATED CON­FLICTS WITHIN A MAX­I­MUM OF THREE WEEKS
